About Marlee
Marlee Tierney (she/her) is graduating from UCLA with degrees in Musical Theatre, Film/Television/Media, and Visual and Performing Arts Education. She has strived to make the most out of her time at UCLA to get the most well rounded education to lead her to not only be the best artist she could be, but person.
During the initial covid-19 lockdown she started a production company titled WProjectProductions. The Women's Project is a film by women, about women. The cast and crew is made of college undergraduate students across Southern California including UCLA, USC, Chapman, and FIDM. A central belief to this project is that there is no one way to be a woman, but in womens differences lies the greatest strength. Together, they explored and felt through these beliefs. These experiences fused and melded to make The Women's Project. Since then she has produced and directed the Thinking music video under the company as well. She hopes to continue to create work within this company and continue to highlight female identifying stories.
Upon return to school from covid she continuously seeked out work and learning opportunities outside of an academic environment. She interned at The Movement Talent Agency in the musical theater, dance, television/film, fitness, and youth departments. She also worked as the Assistant Director on the short film Text Me When You Get Home , and left UCLA for a period to work on Disney’s The Little Mermaid at Sierra Repertory Theater. Her favorite theater credits include The Music Man In Concert with the Pacific Symphony (Teen Ensemble), Cabaret at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Lulu/ Gorilla), and most recently you could have seen her in TFT’s production of Into The Woods as Florinda.
