About James
James Morris (he/him) is a LA based actor, director, and photographer. James has performed at Pacific Resident Theater of Venice, originating the lead role of Danny Santos in On Warner St. As a student at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television James performed as Rene in the mainstage production of Lydia (a staple of Chicano theater by Octavio Solis), Peter in Edward Albee’s At Home, and as Edmund in King Lear. During his time at UCLA James has performed in the student films One Second, One Minute and Queens at the End of the World as well as the YouTube series Belle Parks. James also works in editing and videography as he works his way towards directing features, including a Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship for Pasadena’s Armory Center for the Arts, the UCLA Acting Class of 2023’s Instagram, and his capstone short film Impasto. He has filled a multitude of production posts, putting himself in integral communication and leadership positions throughout his theatrical career. When he isn’t running from rehearsals to his editing desk, James can be found deep in the woods with his hammock, reading plays or Calvin and Hobbes collections.
